Art Lessons “studied” in Polish text

Figura Domu (House Figure) by Dagmara Drewniak

From Jagiellonian University Publishing House (2022): “Sketches on the latest English-language literature of emigrants from Poland and their descendants in Canada analyzes the latest, English-language literature of the Polish ethnic group and the descendants of emigrants from Polish lands in Canada. This creativity has been developing dynamically in recent years, and its special bloom can be observed since 2010. The title figure of the house is both an analytical axis marking various approaches to the concept of home and a metaphor of searching for belonging and being rooted in Canada. Among the authors whose work has been analyzed, there are well-known and award-winning writers – Ewa Stachniak, Andrew J. Borkowski and Katherine Koller.”
